WHAT IS SWUNG?
Swung is the official performance troupe of Athens and The University of Georgia. The group serves three purposes:
- To practice, choreograph, and perform all styles of swing dancing including Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa (Bal-Swing), East Coast and West Coast.
- To serve as outreach for the UGA Swing Club by helping to improve the swing and social dancing community in Athens, Georgia.
- To have fun!
WHAT CAN SWUNG DO FOR ME?
Swung is available to dance at your next social event / halftime show / dance performance / etc. In addition to performing a number of choreographed pieces, we can also teach swing lessons or DJ a swing dance. Please contact us at swungathensga@gmail.com for information on booking the troupe.
